Gaven began his career as a physiotherapist in 1984. In 1990 his first Campbelltown practice, Macarthur Physiotherapy was opened in Lindesay Street. Gaven has undertaken post-graduate training allowing him the titles of APA Titled Musculoskeletal and APA Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist. Gaven has worked with a wide variety of people from Olympians and wheelchair bound athletes, to professional footballers and the elderly. He was the physiotherapist for the West Tigers and Magpies for a decade. He has a particular interest in managing complex pain and movement disability with manual therapy and remedial exercise.

As a keen cyclist, Gaven can provide assessment and recommendation of bike setup, the only available service of this kind in Campbelltown. When Gaven isn't in the clinic you will catch him out riding his bike or spending time with his family.
